STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Demonstrate computational skills: identify whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; perform the four functions of math by using whole numbers, fractions and decimals; practice the use of shortcut methods and aliquot parts method in performing the four mathematical functions; estimate an answer to enable the recognition of a reasonable answer. II. Demonstrate mathematical efficiency on electronic calculators: use the touch system on electronic calculators; demonstrate knowledge of sequential functions in solving problems requiring multiple calculations. (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX)
III. Demonstrate reading and comprehensive skills: list steps needed to solve a word or story problem; solve word or story problems. (IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX)
