 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 1.   Key at least 30 words per minute for 5 minutes with no more than 5 errors.
 2.   Demonstrate correct position of body in the work area.
 3.   Keystroke properly, using letter, number, symbol, and function keys.
 4.   Use peripheral microcomputer equipment, such as a printer.
 5.   Proofread and verify both on-screen and printed materials and documents.
 6.   Center text on a page vertically and horizontally.
 7.   Key/enter business documents including letters, memos, envelopes and labels, multiple-column tables with exact vertical center placement, and unbound and left-bound manuscripts.
