STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Demonstrate an understanding of the structure and function of DNA.
II. Demonstrate an understanding of Mendel's laws of inheritance and genetic concepts outside of Mendelian genetics.
III. Demonstrate familiarity with techniques and equipment found in a genetics lab.
IV. Interpret a human karyotype.
