Course Description: | Examines the gross anatomical structure of the human body and the relationship between form and function. Students will disect a human cadaver. Systems covered will include integument, digestive, respiratory, skeletal, muscular, reproductive, endocrine, lymphatic, urinary, nervous and cardiovascular. This is a course designed for allied health, education, biology and other students who wish to obtain advanced knowledge of human anatomy. Requires hands-on laboratory experience. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
1. Diagram the interrelatedness of human body structures and systems.
2. Illustrate the complimentarity of structure and function of the human body organ systems.
3. Summarize the organization of the tissues, membranes, organs and organ systems in the human body.
4. Identify the body cavities of the human body and list the organs each contain.
5. Address the human body in terms of anatomical directions and planes.
6. Observe anatomical structures of the integument, digestive, respiratory, skeletal, muscular, reproductive, endocrine, lymphatic, urinary, nervous and cardiovascular systems of a human cadaver.
