STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. The learner will calculate areas of various shapes.
II. The learner will inspect, test, adjust, repair or replace components on tools and equipment including
clippers, trimmers, combs, razors and other barber tools and equipment.
III. The learner should be able to list sequential steps in completing a haircut.
IV. The learner will be able to use cutting tools, including but not limited to trimmers and scissor.
V. The learner will practice time management and work schedules.
VI. The learner will follow disinfection, sanitation and safety procedures.
VII. The learner will practice sound electrical safety procedures
VIII. The learner will understand and practice cost effectiveness.
IX. The learner will be able to adapt a cut to suit a model.
