 REQUIRED COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
 1.  Defend the importance of laboratory and diagnostic testing in establishing a patient care management plan in an acute or chronic setting.
 2.  Predict the expected changes in laboratory testing results based on chronic and acute conditions.
 3.  Develop an accurate diagnosis and establish a treatment plan based on given patient history, laboratory and diagnostic testing results.
 4.  Describe the components of blood and its role in maintaining homeostatic milieu.
 5.  Explain how alterations in blood components affect other lab values and patientt presentation.
 6.  Describe the basic components of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics.
 7.  Correlate alterations in pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics with alterations in lab values.
 8.  Predict the efficacy of a medication with a given pathophysiology and lab values.
 9.  Analyze a given set of pulmonary gas values and correlate to injury or illness.
