This course includes current issues of education reform, technology as it relates to education, and considerations related to becoming a teacher in the state of Colorado. The course addresses the educational theory and practices from Early Childhood Education (ECE) through secondary education. |

6. Discuss current social trends and issues related to education and special education.
7. Identify how culture, socialization, ethnocentrism, cultural relativism, implicit bias, and equity affect teachers, students, and schools in the United States.
8. Describe current evidence-based teaching and assessment practices in schools.
9. Identify the impact of historical and current legal and ethical issues involving schooling.
10. Explain school and teacher accountability related to professionalism and codes of ethical conduct.
