STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
1. Assess and maintain scene safety when treating a neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, or special needs patient
2. Obtain patient history
3. Conduct a comprehensive physical exam
4. Formulate a treatment plan, including destination, based on differential diagnosis
5. Communicate effectively as a team member
6. Administer therapeutic interventions
7. Manage the airways of neonate, pediatric, geriatric, and special needs patients
8. Reassess patients after therapeutic interventions have been administered
9. Provide complete documentation of a patient encounter
10. Apply concepts of ambulance operations
11. Apply concepts of medical incident management
12. Apply concepts of disaster management
13. Apply knowledge of hazardous materials incident management
14. Apply knowledge of rescue operations
15. Demonstrate professionalism throughout all interactions
