STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. At the completion of this module, the EMT-Intermediate student will understand the roles and responsibilities of a EMT-Intermediate within an EMS system, apply the basic concepts of anatomy and physiology to the assessment and management of emergency patients, and safely use and administer emergency medications.
II. At the completion of this module, the EMT-Intermediate student will be able to establish and/or maintain a patient airway, oxygenate, and ventilate a patient.
III. At the completion of this module, the EMT-Intermediate student will be able to take a proper history and perform an advanced physical assessment on an emergency patient, and communicate the findings to others.
