This course focuses on the integration of the physical exam, medical history, and pathophysiology when assessing and treating the medical patient.

 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 1. Perform an assessment of a patient with a medical complaint.
 2. Provide differential diagnoses for a patient with a medical complaint.
 3. Formulate a treatment plan for a medical patient.
 4. Manage a patient having a neurological emergency.
 5. Demonstrate the assessment of a patient having a neurological emergency.
 6. Manage a patient with an acute abdominal emergency.
 7. Recognize the patient experiencing an allergic reaction.
